Angela Wolf Pattern Collection

The Tailor's Clapper is the perfect and must have pressing tool for every sewing room.  As seen on It's Sew Easy TV, Angela Wolf uses this tool for everything from pressing up hems, creasing pants, pressing seam allowances open, even pressing knit fabrics.  All you need is a little steam and press the area with the clapper for perfect pressing.  Made in Michigan, USA.

I am very picky about my sewing and pressing tools.  These clappers have been custom made to my specifications using the finest hardwood available.  Enjoy!  xoxo Angela

    Great invention!

Posted by Unknown on 12th Nov 2015

I just recently discovered what a clapper was and its use. Such a simple device that makes pressing and sewing a thick seam so much easier....no more machine stalling or hesitation. Wish I had known about this sooner. Angela's particular clapper is sleek in design (aka) takes very little room to store...I just keep it on my ironing board...easy and effective to use. Thanks, Angela for sharing your creativity!!

    LOVE IT!

Posted by Harriet Cook on 28th Oct 2015

Mama was a Singer demonstrator in the early 50's and she sewed up until her eyes went so bad last year at age 88. She taught me and I took a class at school and have been sewing "fluently" since 1974. She never had clapper, and I had never heard of it. But when I started watching Angela's TV show I saw how much of a difference the clapper made when she used it and promoted it. I didn't have the $$ so I got one of those 1" x 2" x 5" smooth wooden blocks from the children's (now grandchildren's) toy box. I began using that and was amazed at how it made the creases so sharp. After selling some of my handmade items I was able to purchase this clapper. So much better than a mere 5" of wood! I wanted Angela's because I knew she had expended great effort to make sure it was the best. It is so smooth and fits so nicely in my hand. I am thrilled with this purchase. Thank you, Angela!

Students thought it was the best thing they had seen

Posted by Beryl on 8th May 2015

As a long time sewer and studying with couture teachers my students thought this thing, thought clapper was funny name for a lump of wood, was brilliant. The seams are so much more finished. Is that how they do it. WOW

    Surprised me!

I admit that I was a bit skeptical about how useful I would find the Clapper but had to try it. I really didn't expect it to do much for knit fabric. As I began my Ruched T, I was getting a bit frustrated at how the fabric wasn't creasing so I tried using the clapper. It made all of the difference! I'm a believer now!

    Beautiful piece

I had never heard of a clapper but saw one on sale in a quilting catalog. I did a little research and found Angela Wolf's site. I was happy to pay a little more than the sale price in the catalog in order to support her and buy a Michigan made product. It arrived in record time, beautifully packaged, with a personal note from Angela and I love it! It 's finished very nicely and fits my hand. I've used it to set my seams when quilting and I also get a great crease when pressing pants. It permanently sits at the end of my pressing station.
